The Afghan Public Health Institute (APHI) aspires to be a state-of-the-art center for public health and management training, research, national disease surveillance, and health policy advocacy.
In 2009, APHI trained more than 3,000 health professionals in public health management, human resource management, conflict management, health care financing, epidemiology, biostatistics, and research methodology.
More than 100 research projects have been coordinated with different researchers from all over the world.
