Institute Profile

The Angolan National Institute of Public Health (INSP) aims to improve the quality of life of its citizens through research, training, and provision of technical and scientific services. INSP focuses on monitoring primary health care and environmental hygiene, managing the national laboratory network, and overseeing prevention, diagnosis, and surveillance of diseases and risks to public health. INSP endorses traditional medicine and utilizes such practices to help prevent and control disease. Based in Luanda, it staffs 209 employees who work throughout the nation.
