US CDC team in Nigeria Ebola response

In a firsthand account from the US CDC’s Ebola response team, David Daigle writes, “the work is long, hard, challenging but worthwhile.” The team, comprised of nine individuals possessing a range of skill sets from infection control to data management, arrived in Lagos, Nigeria on August 7th to assist in the CDC’s efforts to fight Ebola in the affected countries. Through contact tracing, health education, and infection control trainings, the team has accomplished much in the short time it has been in Nigeria.
