Norway and IANPHI host workshop for Malawi Public Health Institute

In February 2014, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) together with the International Association of National Public Health Institutes (IANPHI) hosted a delegation from the Malawi Ministry of Health in a workshop for the newly-established Public Health Institute of Malawi (PHIM). PHIM is still a young organization and currently comprised of only two employees, but it has strategic plans and great ambitions to expand its capacity to include three, fully-staffed units: a national public health reference library, epidemiology and research. NIPH and IANPHI look forward to offering continued technical assistance to their Malawian colleagues as they develop their national public health institute. Learn more about the workshop here.
