ASLM Global Health Security Update

In October, the African Society of Laboratory Medicine (ASLM), a long-time partner of IANPHI and a leader in African public health laboratory development and support, published a special report on its role in Global Health Security, with a focus on capacity-building for laboratory systems, a key component of national public health institutes. The ASLM also welcomes new Global Health Security Director Mah-Sere Keita. With over 15 years of experience in international program management, Mah-Sere will be responsible for “programmatic efforts across Africa to bolster capacity to establish resilient tiered laboratory networks, regularly measuring progress with a standardized score card, and effectively integrating these networks into disease surveillance and public health institutes.” Read the full announcement here: ASLM Welcomes New Director for Global Health Security.
