The Instituto Nacional de Salud Pública, directed by IANPHI President Mauricio Hernandez Avila, has announced the launch of a new massive online course (MOOC) on teen pregnancy prevention. The course, designed for primary health care providers in Mexico, has already received 2,000 pre-registration participants. The course is expected to serve over up to 10,000 participants.

In remarks at the events's launch, Dr. Avila shared that this "virtual massive online course is the result of various research studies conducted by the INSP used to develop a diagnosis facing the health sector, identifying problems in service demand and lack of supply of family services, availability information and access to contraceptive use for adolescents "
