12th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion, Safety 2016

Safety 2016 organizers warmly invite you to the 12th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Safety Promotion to be held in Tampere, Finland, on 18 - 21 September 2016.

From research to implementation

Injuries - violence and unintentional - are a major burden on public health worldwide. While experts in injury prevention and safety promotion recognize the need for action, the state-of-the-art knowledge and practice from these fields are not consistently applied to policies and programmes in the field. The main theme for the Safety 2016, “From research to implementation”, seeks to provoke new ideas and experiences to address this gap.

The Safety 2016 Conference covers issues related to the prevention of injuries from all external causes: those resulting from either unintentional events, accidents or intentional events, such as interpersonal violence and self-harm.

About the Conference

Safety World Conference is biennial, international conference on injury prevention and safety promotion. The conference will bring together the world’s leading researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and advocates in the field of injury prevention and safety to debate, discuss and share information and experiences.
