Our quarterly e-newsletter IANPHI World keeps members informed of progress on IANPHI grants, projects, training, and other activities as well as global health challenges of collective concern.
IANPHI surveys of its members systematically characterize the community and range of NPHIs. These surveys inform IANPHI's work and provide valuable new data on the composition and role of NPHIs around the world. Assessments of several member institutes also help guide IANPHI's assistance efforts. The assessment forms are provided as a resource for others wanting to obtain information on the performance of core public health functions in their institutions.
IANPHI's project tools include the Framework for the Creation and Development of National Public Health Institutes, which characterizes the community and range of NPHIs, describes their core attributes and functions, and provides a basis for assessing NPHIs and supporting their development. The NPHI Toolkit complements the Framework by providing access to a variety of web-based information resources for NPHI development and growth. NPHI Case Studies provide snapshots of how some established NPHIs were created – why they were formed, key ingredients in their success, and barriers to greater impact.
Through articles in prestigious journals, IANPHI continues to contribute to the body of knowledge about public health systems strengthening and the important work of NPHIs and their partners in improving people's health.
IANPHI continuously updates these and other useful sources of information, including key links to other global health organizations, foundations, and partners.
