Maggie Gutierrez

Maggie Gutierrez joined IANPHI in September 2019 as a first-year Emory University graduate student pursuing her Master of Public Health from the Rollins School of Public Health. She is part of the Hubert Department of Global Health's concentration in Community Health Development with a passion for capacity building and health as social justice.

Prior to returning to school, Maggie served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Namibia. She spent two years teaching English at a secondary school while facilitating health and environmental clubs and activities. She then extended her service for a third year to work with the U.S. CDC and Namibian Ministry of Health. She earned her bachelor's degree in Health and Humanities in Africa from The College of William and Mary in 2015.
