Norway and IANPHI Host Workshop for Malawi Public Health Institute

In February 2014, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) together with IANPHI, hosted a delegation from the Malawi Ministry of Health in a workshop for the newly-established Public Health Institute of Malawi (PHIM).

PHIM is still a young organization and currently comprised of only two employees, but it has strategic plans and great ambitions to expand its capacity to include three, fully-staffed units: a national public health reference library, epidemiology and research.

NIPH and IANPHI look forward to offering continued technical assistance to their Malawian colleagues as they develop their national public health institute.
